3 Named Co-chairs for Mansfield City Schools Levy Campaign

Three people have been named co-chairs for the Mansfield City Schools levy campaign. Former Mechanics Bank CEO Debbie Schenk, former Simpson principal Doug Castle and Teana Sykes, who served as the co-chair for the Springmill Learning Center steering committee.


The Mansfield City Schools will have two renewal levies on the May 2nd ballot.  Castle said the renewal of the levies is "essential" with the district just getting out of fiscal emergency .  MCS treasurer Robert Kuehnle said that the two levies combine generate $7.9 million annually, which is just over 13% of the district's total revenue.
