Highway Patrol Investigating Crash involving Truck and Buggy

The Mansfield Post of the Highway Patrol is investigating an injury crash involving a pickup truck and an Amish Buggy that happened on State Route 13 in Butler Township Wednesday. The Patrol said the buggy, which was southbound on Route 13 just south of Baseline Road, was hit from behind by a pickup driven by 39 year old Gary Polachek of Greenwich.


The accident pushed the buggy off the road and into a ditch. A passenger in the buggy, 31 year old Wilma Brubaker of Greenwich was seriously injured and taken to MetroHealth Hospital in Cleveland. The driver of the buggy 32 year old Norman Brubaker of Greenwich and two children in the buggy were taken to Ohio Health Mansfield for treatment of minor injuries. Polachek was not injured. The accident closed State Route 13 for about one hour.
