"Opiate Response Team" to Target Overdoses in Richland County
A group has been formed in Richland County to help battle the opiate problem. RichlandSource.com reports that the "Opiate Response Team" will target overdoses in Mansfield and Shelby in a pilot project that will run from March until June.
A similar project like this was done in Hamilton County and 80% of the people who overdoses respond with treatment after being contacted by the Response Team. Richland County Mental Health and Recovery Services Executive Director Joe Trollian is hoping for the same kind of response to the program here in Richland County. The project will go county wide starting on July 1st.
