21 Indictments for Drug Trafficking served by Morrow County Sheriff
The Morrow County Sheriff’s Office this week began serving warrants on 21 indictments for drug trafficking. These indictments were the result of a lengthy investigation that dates back to the summer of 2016. Morrow County Sheriff John Hinton said the importance of these indictments is that we, the local law enforcement community, have noticed that there is a strong connection between the burglaries and drug use in this community. Thus, it is our hope that by aggressively pursuing the drug traffickers that we will drive the illicit drug trade from our county and that this will ultimately reduce the number of property crimes in our county.
The mission of the Sheriff’s Office is to make Morrow County a safe haven where our citizens can raise their families and live without fear. To those who think that Morrow County is a safe haven for drug manufacturing, trafficking or use, be mindful that you will be aggressively pursued by the Morrow County Sheriff’s Office.
Also, at this time I would like to thank our Detectives for their hard work on these cases. I would also like to thank Sheriff Scott Kent of the Crawford County Sheriff’s Office, Sheriff Dave Shaffer of the Knox County Sheriff’s Office and the Cardington Police Department.
