Bellville Native Wins Highway Patrol Trooper of the Year

Colt Browne of the Mansfield Post of the State Highway Patrol has been named Trooper of the Year.  Browne is a native of Bellville and was chosen out of 17 troopers that make up the Mansfield Post. Browne told RichlandSource.com that winning the award is very humbling and makes him appreciate that people  that he works with.

Browne has been with the Patrol for 5 years and the 29 year old also won the district's Humanitarian Award. Browne has taken training to become a drug recognition expert to help those affected by drug abuse.
