Ashland University to Host Event with Ashland Mayor Candidate Matt Miller

The Ashland University College Republicans will be hosting an event with Matt Miller, who is running for mayor of Ashland. The event, which is set for Thursday, March 16, from 7 to 8 p.m. in the Hawkins-Conard Student Center Auditorium, is free and open to the public.

Miller will be describing his views on the importance of local government and his career as someone politically involved from a young age, and will be taking questions following his talk.

Sandra Tunnell has also filed to run for Mayor. Tunnell, along with Miller, both currently serve on Ashland City Council. Duane Fishpaw took over as Mayor in January for Glen Stewart, who decided to retire. Fishpaw is serving the remainder of Stewart's term through the end of the year.
