Possible Revision in Legislation for Owning Chickens in Mansfield
Mansfield City Council on Tuesday talked about a possible revision in the legislation when it comes to owning chickens within the city limits.
City Councilman Cliff Mears said the changes would require an applicant to get a $50 permit and a site visit to actually grant the permit. If someone was denied an application, then they could appeal it to the city planning commission for a review.
This has now been sent back to the zoning committee because of the recently proposed changes to the legislation. Council is still expected to vote on the matter March 21st.
