The Mansfield Police Forensic Science Section Laboratory has received a honor from the American Society of Crime Laboratory Directors Accreditation Board. Mansfield Police Chief Ken Coontz says "that the continuation of this national honor is a credit to the dedication and professionalism of the Forensic Staff.
Accreditation is a significant accomplishment, which required many months of preparation and the ongoing commitment of the Forensic Science Section Staff and the Division of Police. Forensic laboratories that elect to participate in accreditation demonstrate a commitment to improve the quality of forensic laboratory services provided to the criminal justice communities they serve.
