A number of Ashland University faculty members received promotions and/or tenure following the action of the Ashland University Board of Trustees at its winter meeting. The promotions are effective at the beginning of the institution’s 2017-2018 academic year.
Those promoted to the rank of full professor at the University are Dr. Carla Abreu-Ellis in Initial Programs in the Schar College of Education; Dr. Jason Brent Ellis in the Doctoral Studies and Advanced Programs in the Schar College of Education; and Dr. David Foster in the History and Political Science Department in the College of Arts and Sciences.
Those promoted to associate professor at the University and receiving tenure status are Dr. David McCoy in the Journalism & Digital Media Department in the College of Arts and Sciences and Dr. Sharleen Mondal in the Department of English in the College of Arts and Sciences. Dr. Christopher Chartier in the Psychology Department in the College of Arts and Sciences was promoted to associate professor. Also, Dr. Juanita Reese Kline, associate professor of Nursing in the Schar College of Nursing and Health Sciences, received tenure status.
