Conservation Creation Arts & Crafts Workshop Long Live Leaves Slated for July 9

Mansfield, Ohio –The next Conservation Creation Arts & Crafts Workshop hosted by Richland Soil and Water Conservation District (Richland SWCD) is Tuesday, July 9 at 6:00 p.m. at the Longview Center located at 1495 W. Longview Avenue in Mansfield.

Get hands-on with nature at the Workshop by making a lovely clay dish from an impression of a leaf. Richland SWCD provides all the materials needed to make a clay dish. The cost is $12.00 per person and reservations are requested by July 3.

This workshop’s guest speaker, Kim Hildreth, wears many hats. She has led the Earth Stewardship Celebration steering committee and assisted the Mansfield Shade Tree Commission for 28 years and is employed by the Mansfield

Engineering Department where she is responsible for the NPDES (National Pollutant Discharge Systems) Phase 2 storm water permit. She will share how trees and leaves are beneficial, including the impact trees have on storm water management.
