Mansfield Mayor Jodie Perry says a deal has been reached for a local buyer to purchase the West Park Shopping Center property on Park Ave West.
Perry making that announcement on Friday afternoon via an e-mail to local media.
Also, the property has been submitted to the current round of Brownfield Remediation Grant Funds through the Ohio Department of Development, which if approved would see a $1 million grant help to demolish the property.
The mayor said, she will be working with the new owners, 6 West Third Ltd., which is a Mansfield corporation formed in 1997, to get more information distributed regarding the future of the property in the weeks ahead.
RichlandSource.com reports, the sale price has not been disclosed, but the property is expected to be transferred by the end of the year.
