Mansfield, OH – The Waterford at Mansfield and community leader, Doc Stumbo, are hosting a Wear Blue Day Rally, on Wednesday, April 9th, at 10 a.m., to raise awareness for Child Abuse Prevention Month. The rally will be held at The Waterford in Mansfield, located at 1296 S. Trimble Road, and is open to the public.
Wear Blue Day is an annual statewide event encouraging individuals and organizations to Wear Blue as a symbol of unity against child abuse and neglect.
This year’s theme is “Doing Things Differently: Believing in Communities.” This theme reflects the idea that communities can come together to support family well-being rather than focus only on responding to incidents of child abuse and neglect. The well-being of children cannot be separated from the well-being of their families and communities.
The rally will feature guest speakers Miss Ohio 2024 Stephanie Finoti, and Richland County Children Services Executive Director, Tara Lautzenhiser.
For information contact Doc Stumbo at 419-512-3013 or Brigitte Coles, Richland County Children Services (RCCS), Community Engagement Supervisor at (419) 774-4168 or Brigitte.Coles@jfs.ohio.gov.
