Ashland Police Hire New Officer, Force Now at 30

ASHLAND POLICE HIRE NEW OFFICER

On December 2, 2024, Mayor Matt Miller administered the oath of office to new Police Officer Tyler Davis.

Davis, 24, of Ashland, is an Ashland High School graduate and a United States Marine Corps veteran. He completed the Police Academy at North Central State College in August. The Ashland Police Division is his first appointment as a peace officer.

Over the next four months, Officer Davis will be working closely with field training officers to learn organizational procedures while becoming more familiar with operations.

Davis is committed to his new role with the City of Ashland, stating, “I grew up in Ashland and I care about the community. I feel like I am supposed to be here.”

With the addition of Officer Davis, the Division currently employs 30 full-time police officers.
