Blocked Punt, 3 Rushing TDs and Good Defense - Keys to Ontario Playoff Win

The Ontario Warriors beat Clear Fork 24-2 in a Division IV (Region 14) 1st round playoff game on Friday.

Ontario scored 3 rushing TDs, two by Mason Vantilburg, and the other by Bodpegn Miller. Also, freshman Kooper Kilgore booted a 33 yard FG in the 3rd quarter to account for the Warriors points.

Clear Fork recorded a safety in the 2nd quarter for their only points of the evening. The Colts moved the ball, but penalties and turnovers, along with some great defense from Ontario, kept the Colts out of the end zone.

The play of the night came, with the Warriors up 10-2, in the 2nd half when defensive lineman Trenton Maglott blocked a punt and moments later Bodpegn Miller scored from 1 yard out. Ontario less than a minute later got an interception from Landon Fultz, then Mason Vantilburg darted for a 20 yard TD to give Ontario a big lead.

Ontario (10-1) will now host Clyde (8-3) on Friday, November 8th in the Regional quarterfinals in Division IV.
