On 10-30-2024 at 1853 hrs., Deputy Ben Petrie initiated a traffic stop on Lincoln Highway, near State Route 598, for an equipment violation. The driver was identified as Douglas Swart, age 61, from Bucyrus.
Swart admitted to using prescription pills prior to the traffic stop. During a search of the vehicle, deputies recovered Percocet pills, Methamphetamine mixed with Fentanyl and cash. These items were seized. Swart was arrested for Possession of Drugs, Tampering with Evidence and was transported to the Crawford County Justice Center.
A report will be forward to the Crawford County Prosecutor’s Office for consideration of additional charge
