House explosion near Crestline, 47 year old woman killed, 2 others injured

One person has died and two people were injured from a house explosion in Richland County.

Richland County EMA Director, Rebecca Owens, said, it happened shortly after 1 pm on Friday afternoon at 4031 Hook Road in Springfield Township, near Crestline.

According to RichlandSource.com, several individuals were home at the time of the explosion, which demolished the house.

Krista Cramer, 47, was killed and her husband, who was in the basement at the time of the explosion, was injured and had significant burns. He was transported to the hospital and then taken to Columbus by LifeFlight. Another female was outside of the home during the explosion and was taken to the hospital. No update has been given on her condition.

Multiple Richland County law enforcement agencies and fire departments responded to the scene. The cause of the explosion is under investigation by the Ohio State Fire Marshall's Office.
