Mansfield City Council to consider repealing medical marijuana ban

Mansfield City Council in June opened the way for potential recreational cannabis dispensaries. And according to Richland Source.com, is expected to consider repealing a ban against medical marijuana, as well, at tonight’s meeting. Local lawmakers are scheduled to vote on two pieces of legislation that would undo what City Council approved seven years ago — a ban on medical marijuana cultivation, processing and retail distribution within city limits. During its meeting on June 19, City Council voted 5-3 to allow recreational dispensary businesses to seek a state license to operate in the city.
