In Sports, Madison High School has hired a new boy’s basketball coach in Davey Hipp, who spent the last 3 years as an assistant in Shelby. The Whippets last year reached the Division II State Final Four.
Hipp is a 2017 Shelby graduate and played college basketball at Heidelberg and Muskingum, according to RichlandSource.com.
Madison has also hired a new girl’s basketball coach, in Phil Schmook.
