Information from the Madison Township Fire Department

A woman was taken to the hospital in Mansfield, in the early morning hours of Thursday, after the Madison Fire department responded to a fire on Kentucky Ave.
The call came in just after 3:30 am, where crews arrived on scene to heavy fire on the back side of the house. The homeowner was able to get outside, but sustained some burns and was transported to the hospital. The cause of the fire is under investigation, but is believed to be accidental.
The Madison Fire department used around 5,700 gallon of water to extinguish the blaze.
