DISTRICT ANNOUNCES NEW HIRES FOR BOYS BASKETBALL AND SOFTBALL HEAD COACHES

Loudonville-Perrysville Exempted Village Schools

June 5, 2024

The Loudonville-Perrysville Exempted Village School District will welcome two additional head coaches for 2024-2025. Tim Brafford has been selected as the new Head Coach for the Loudonville High School (LHS) Boys Basketball team, and Ann Stitzlein will serve as the Head Coach for the LHS Softball team.

Tim Brafford brings an impressive 45-year coaching career to Loudonville High School, having significantly impacted various basketball programs. Starting his coaching career in the 1979-80 season at Crestview High School, Coach Brafford has also led teams at Mapleton and most recently at Clear Fork High School. Under his leadership, Clear Fork transformed from a 0-23 record in the 2021-22 season to a 10-13 record in the 2023-24 season—marking just the fifth double-digit win season in the past 18 years.

Ann Stitzlein, who has extensive experience as a player and coach, will assume the role of head coach of the LHS softball team. She has been the Head Coach for the Ohio Wolfpack-Stitzlein travel softball team since 2018 and previously led the Loudonville Youth Association Softball Teams from 2013 to 2019.

Coach Stitzlein's playing career includes being part of the 2002 GLIAC Champion team at Ashland University and the 1997 State Championship team at Loudonville High School. Her coaching philosophy emphasizes teamwork, sportsmanship, and commitment. Stitzlein is also a third grade teacher at McMullen Elementary.

"We are excited to welcome Tim and Ann to our Redbird coaching staff," stated Superintendent Jennifer Allerding. "Both Tim and Ann are passionate about the success of our student-athletes and I know their dedication to the game will bring enthusiasm and excitement next season."
