Fentanyl cause of death for Richland County Jail Inmate on April 14th

The Richland County Coroner’s office says fentanyl, was the cause of death for a 32 year old Mansfield woman, last month, inside of the Richland County jail.

According to RichlandSource.com, Candice Crose died from fentanyl intoxication on April 14th. She was taken to the hospital following a medical emergency, shortly before 10 am.

Bob Ball, Richland County Coroner Chief investigator, said, less than a thumbnail of fentanyl can kill someone.

Crose had been in jail since early February, and was sentenced to 1 year in prison on a felony escape conviction.
