Longtime Lexington Attorney and school board member, Robert H. Whitney, passed away this week.
Whitney began practicing law in Mansfield in the early 1960's and according to RichlandSource.com, he was the longest serving school board member in the state of Ohio. Whitney had been a Lexington School board member since 1964 and was honored by the Ohio School Boards Association.
The schools new performing arts center is named after Bob Whitney, who was 88 years old.
