Fred Craig has been declared the winner in the election for mayor in the village of Mifflin.
Craig was tied on election night with current mayor, Vickie Shultz, who was originally declared the winner after a coin toss, prior to a recount.
RichlandSource.com reports, the announcement came from the Ashland County Board of Elections, after the recount found one of the ballots for Craig was not counted, due to the oval not being filled in. The voter did write Fred Craig’s name on the ballot, which gave Craig one more vote.
