On November 22nd, 2023, at 8:40 AM, the Crawford County Special Response Team executed a narcotic search warrant at 327 West Warren St. in Bucyrus. The search warrant was a result of the Sheriff’s Office and METRICH investigating a drug trafficking complaint. Bucyrus Police Department assisted with the search warrant. The Crawford County dog warden also assisted.
The target of the investigation was Christopher Johnson, age 44, Whitney Johnson, age 32. David A. Jacobs, age 19, was also detained during the execution of the search warrant. Jacobs was later released with no charges. Christopher Johnson will be charged with trafficking in drugs and Whitney Johnson will be charged with permitting drug abuse and possession of drugs.
The Crawford County Sheriff’s Office will be forwarding a report to the Crawford County Prosecutor’s Office for consideration of additional charges.
