Shelby has officially hired a new superintendent.
According to RichlandSource.com, Michael Browning, was approved on Monday by a 5-0 vote by the Shelby board of education. He will start a 3 year contract on August 1st.
Browning has been the high school principal for the last 5 years in the London schools, located in London, Ohio, which is just west of Columbus.
Current Shelby Superintendent, Tim Tarvin, is retiring at the end of July.
