Tuesday, Feb. 28th - The Lucas Cubs defeated Monroeville in the Division IV District Semi-Final by a score of 49-37 at Willard high school.
Lucas junior Logan Toms was incredible, as he scored a game high 28 points and just could not be stopped inside to push Lucas (21-4) into Friday's District Title game vs Col. Crawford. Logan scored 6 points in the 1st quarter, 7 each in the 2nd and 3rd, then finish with 8 points in the 4th quarter. Lucas once again played great defense by allowing just single digits in each of the first 3 quarter of the game. The 37 points allowed for the Cubs was the 12th time this season they have held an opponent in the 30's or lower. Corbin Toms and Aiden Culler each chipped in 7 points, while Andrew Smollen drilled two 3's for 6 points.
