The city of Mansfield plans to use American Rescue Plan dollars for bonuses promised to more than 90 firefighters.
RichlandSource.com reports, the retention payments are $6,000 each and could total up to more than $550,000.
Mansfield City Council recently approved a 3 year contract with Mansfield’s Firefighters, and the bonuses are similar to what Mansfield Police officers received.
