Friday, Feb 24th - Shelby's Alex Bruskotter scored 24 points, but a basket late in the 4th quarter pushed him over 1,000 in his career, as the Whippets beat Ontario, 70-48, to win a Sectional Championship at Madison.
Casey Lantz added 13 points for the Whippets, who saw Ontario close the gap to 8 points before pulling away late to improve to 20-3 and set up a rematch with Lexington in the District Semi-Finals on Thursday.
