In Shelby, City Council this week honored 14 city employees for their service during the winter storm back in December. According to RichlandSource.com, employees in the Streets, Water and Maintenance departments were recognized for their efforts during extreme wind, cold and snow – Dec 23, 24th and 25th.
During that 3 day span, Shelby had a total of 9 water main breaks, including one on Shelby Ave Christmas Eve, which took 12 hours to repair.
