A 75 year old Amish man from Ashland County has been sentenced to 5 years in prison for the sexual assault of 3 girls.
RichlandSource.com reports, Joas Swartzentruber was sentenced this week on 3 counts, which all were 3rd degree felonies. Ashland County Prosecutor, Chris Tunnell, said the crime was serious and involved luring girls ages, 10, 12 and 13 with candy. Swartzentruber has already spent 250 days behind bars and could be released in 4 years if he meets certain requirements.
