Thanks to a state grant, the Metrich Drug Task Force has been restored to its normal funding level.
According to RichlandSource.com, Police Chief Keith Porch said, the Enforcement Unit is receiving just over $124,000, which will keep them funded for another year.
Metrich received less funds prior to the latest grant, due to fewer traffic citations being issued during the COVID-19 pandemic, which a portion helped to fund agencies like Metrich.
