Ashland To Build New Public Transit Headquarters After $1.3 Million Grant

The city of Ashland has received word that it has been awarded a $1.3 million state grant through the Ohio Department of Transportation to build a new public transit headquarters near the downtown area.

Mayor Matt Miller said the more than 14,000 square foot facility will be built on the corner of Union and 3rd Street on city owned land. Miller said, the hope is to begin construction next year in the late spring or summer. Miller went one to say that the amount of people using the Ashland Public Transit continues to grow.
