Mansfield City Council meets tonight, which mayor Tim Theaker plans to ask council to spend $3.3 million in American Rescue Plan Act funds, which would see about a third go toward employee bonuses.
RichlandSource.com reports, this would leave Mansfield with about 13% left, 2.7 million, from the total of $21 million it received from the federal government. Mansfield City Council pushed its meeting back one day to this evening because of Tuesday’s special election.
