The Richland County Commissioners on Tuesday approve just over $194,000 dollars to purchase 4 new cruisers for the Sheriff’s Department.
RichlandSource.com reports, Captain Jim Sweat said, “He knows the vehicles are big ticket items, but for patrol officers these are their offices.” Sweat said they have to be able to get where they need to be safely and efficiently to interact with the public.
The Commissioners plan to use money from the American Rescue plan to pay for the cars.
