Mansfield Police Chief Keith Porch says, if gas prices continue to remain high for the 2nd half of 2022, his department will be on track to spend $50,000 more in gas than it did two years ago in 2020.

Porch says if prices don’t tumble dramatically, then the department will spend more than $172,00 in fuel compared to 2020, when they spent $105,000 dollars.

The Mansfield PD has implemented cost saving measures to help in every way they can. The department’s annual gas budget is $215,000 dollars.
