Ashland County Assistant Prosecutor Victor Perez has resigned.
RichlandSource.com reports, Perez turned in his notice in late May and officially stepped away from his position this week on Wednesday(June 8th).
Ashland County Prosecutor Chris Tunnell said it came as a surprise and is currently searching for a replacement. Perez had been Ashland assistant prosecutor since 2016 and ran for judge this past May, but came up short vs David Stimpert. Perez, who has taken another job, said it was an honor to work and keep the community safe.
