Richland County engineer Adam Gove reminding the public that – beginning today (May 31) – the intersection of Cook Road, Illinois Avenue and Mansfield – Lucas Road, will be closed, as work begins to install a roundabout. That intersection will be closed for the next 75 days and no thru traffic will be permitted. Detour signs are posted, trucks will need to use the designated truck route through downtown Mansfield.

RichlandSource.com reports, the cost is $1.3 million dollars with 90% of that covered by an ODOT grant. The work needs to be finished this summer before school is back in session.
