Nationwide Children’s hospital has plans to open a school based health center in Shelby.
According to RichlandSource.com, a portion of the Shelby Middle School will be transformed thanks to a contract with Nationwide and the Ohio Department of Health.
Shelby Superintendent Tim Tarvin says they are still in the planning stages, but it’s expected to open in 2023.
The Ohio Department of Health is partnering with Nationwide to open these centers in 4 school districts, which includes Shelby. Mount Vernon, Reynoldsburg and Columbus City Schools.
