A project to update aerial mapping in Mansfield will be taking place in the near future.
City Council President David Falquette says this is called GIS mapping and will see an aircraft fly across Mansfield to take pictures of public utilities, such as locate water, sewer lines and fire hydrants.
This gives officials an overview of birds eye view of the area and can be pulled up on computer systems to be viewed locally. It is done every 3 or 4 years, cost around $250,000 should be done in the next week or two before leaves start to grow in the trees…
