Mansfield is set to spend an additional $110,000 dollars to purchase some land for the Clear Fork Reservoir project.
According to RichlandSource.com, the purchase of just under an acre of what is called wetlands credits, which is an environmental permit that helps protect Ohio’s lakes and forests.
The project at the Clear Fork dam is to prevent a possible future problem, as some water has been seeping under and through parts of the dam since the 1970’s. The overall cost to that project is $1.2 million dollars.
