Fire fighters responded to a call in downtown Mansfield on North Main Street Thursday morning.
Fire officials say it took place at Bankz Salon, where the owner unlocked the door and found smoke throughout the building. Crews investigated to find smoke on all 3 floors and later found fire in a small freight elevator with some wet towels and sheets.
Fire fighters spent about 90 minutes on scene. No exact word on how much damage was done or the cost.
