Richland County Commissioners May Need To Cut $5 Million In Budget Requests

The Richland County Commissioners may need to cut nearly $6 million dollars in requests over the next few weeks, as they prepare the county budget for 2022.

Commissioner Darrell Banks told RichlandSource.com that just shy of $42 million dollars in requests came in from all the various departments, but projected revenue from Auditor Pat Dropsey is around $36 million.

The Commissioners need to approve the budget before the end of the year.
