The Ohio State Highway Patrol is distributing more than 1,500 body cameras and new in-car cameras in the next 7 months.
Ashland, Richland and Crawford County troopers will receive body cameras and the new in-car cameras early next year (2022).
The body cameras will record once the lights and sirens are activated. The total 5 year cost for the camera system and equipment for all state troopers is around $ 15 million dollars.
