Richland County Auditor Pat Dropsey shared his concerns with the Commissioners this week about how rising inflation could impact 2022 sales tax revenue projections.
According to RichlandSource.com, Dropsey said the county will receive around $24 million in sales tax for 2021, but projects that it will drop next year 12% to just under $21 million dollars.
Dropsey said we have not saw inflation like this in a long time and people could spend less if prices continue to go up.
