Mansfield 4thWard City Councilman Alomar Davenport is set to become the chairman of the finance committee in January.
According to RichlandSource.com, Davenport, who has been vice chair and on city council since 2019, will take over for Jon Van Harlingen on January 4th.
Davenport said those are huge shoes to fill and the city’s top priorities should be water and sewer projects.
