The Mansfield Fire Department responded to a call on Wood Street Wednesday night just after 9 pm.
Fire fighters arrived on scene to heavy fire at the rear of the home, which sustained heavy damage to the first and 2nd floors .Crews were able to control the blaze in a short period of time. The department reported that no one was home at the time and no injuries were reported. No exact cause of how the fire started has been released. The Red Cross is assisting the family.
