Work toward bringing a cell tower to the Lucas area is still in the works.
Bids have opened on the project, which will cost over $650,000 dollars. Bids are being reviewed now.
Richland County Sheriff Jim Sweat is over seeing the project, which could be complete by the middle of next year, if there are no delays.
