Mansfield Police Officer Resigns Following Internal Complaints

The Mansfield Division of Police accepted the resignation of Officer Jordan Moore earlier this afternoon. This resignation follows two separate internal complaints involving incidents which occurred on May 19th and May 25th of this year, which resulted in unsatisfactory performance. The two Internal complaints have been under investigation and recently completed. A Pre-disciplinary Conference was to be held on this date, when he submitted his resignation. The complaints were initiated internally by Command Staff and assigned promptly thereafter. Both incidents are in reference to traffic crash reports which were not properly investigated by Officer Moore.

Neither incident is related to the June 16th, 2021 shooting involving Off. Moore which is still under investigation by Ohio BCI. Once the shooting investigation is completed, the case will be forwarded to the Richland County Prosecutors Office for review. The Richland County Prosecutors Office is aware of Off. Moore’s resignation on this date
