A total of 8 Mansfield area organizations are seeking money through Community Development Block Grant Funds, which add up to more than $659,000.
RichlandSource.com says, The Friendly House had the biggest request for $350,000. The money for the facility on North Mulberry Street would be to renovate its playground outdoors.
City Council set to vote on the matter in early April, as final plans for the federal funding would have to be sent in by mid -May.
