The Madison Township Trustees this week approved chip and seal work for 6 area roads, which include Nester, Wade, River Pat, Everett and Lepo Lanes. Cost for the work will be just over $33,000. RichlandSource.com reports Madison Township for this year has set aside around $260,000 for road work.
The Trustees also voted to pay $2,000 to a contractor, who demolished the site next to the fire station on Express view Drive and cleaned up part of the area before a toxic substance was found that the Township is looking into grant money to finish the cleanup of the area.
